Our ClassroomsMar Vista Montessori has 3 classrooms, including one infant room for children under 2. As part of the regular preschool curriculum Spanish and French language lessons are taught once a week. On Wednesdays, a Fundamentals of Music class is taught in each classroom by Mr. Davis. He brings his own instruments for the children to actively participate as he introduces them to the principles of music. The Barnyard ClassroomThe Barnyard is for your infant child from birth to age 2. Activities in the Barnyard include singing, working with musical instruments, playing in the sandbox, art projects and basic sign language.
The Jungle Room ClassroomThe Jungle Room has students from 2 - 5 years old. Activities in the Jungle Room include singing and dancing, academic work, art, cooking and play time.
The Ocean Room ClassroomThe Ocean Room has students from 3 - 6 years old. Activities in the Ocean Room include stories and dancing, academic work, artwork and cooking projects, free play outdoors in the gym and/or parking lot.
Optional Extra Curricular Activities (tuition is paid directly to the outside providers)Gymtastics: Classes are held in our indoor gym once a week. E-mail peggy@gymtastics.us Dance classes: Classes are held once a week. Styles include tap and ballet. Please let us know if you are interested in gymnastics or dance courses, space is limited. Information and applications are available in the school office. |
